Aloha! I'm Kevin Roddy, an associate professor and librarian at Kapi'olani Community College in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

I manage a UH System Web site called Learning Information Literacy Online (LILO). As a reference provider in Lama Library, I consult with students, faculty, and staff members who need information for their needs, using a wide range of technologies.
I've been involved with computers and technology for nearly my entire working life of 36 years, with:
- the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a IT specialist for the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), 1974-1976, Washington, DC;
- Pacific Bell as an International TSPS (Traffic Service Position System) operator and later a cable splicer, 1977-1982, San Francisco;
- Associated Students of the University of California, reconciling invoices for the General Books department, 1982-1984, Berkeley;
- Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, conducting searches using Lexis/Nexis and Westlaw for lawyers and legal assistants, San Francisco (1984-1986);
- Oakland Public Library as a reference librarian in the Science, Business, and Sociology department, (1987-1991);
- University of Hawai'i, where I have spent the last 20 years learning and teaching information search, evaluation, and technology.
