Lama Library has a Videophone (VP) available to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people who use sign language to communicate. The service is available during all hours that the library is open.

The VP is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are people waiting to use it, we ask that you limit your call to 30 minutes.

The Library is very interested in the use of the VP and will occasionally provide a survey sheet in the booth for users to record only 1) the date, and 2) the length of your call. This information will enable library staff to decide whether to expand service by acquiring a second VP.

Lama Library staff gratefully acknowledge Sorenson Communications, and Sorenson Video Relay Services, for sponsorship of the Videophone and the construction costs of the privacy booth that houses it.
