Some of our favorite Open Question Responses:
What do you like best about Lama Library?
Available hours and selection of materials. Great Hawaiian reference selection.
Beautiful architecture, couches, quiet spaces and friendly staff
Easy access to resources in the library and on the library website.
I especially liked the personal reference attention I received when I needed help with computer searches.
I like the easy access through the web. It helps me to gather information quickly if I need it for a certain class. I also like the amount of books. So far, I haven't had any problems. I also like the environment. It's very good for me to study.
It's quiet, big, and has very comfortable study areas. I always enjoy the art they display in the library.
The calm atmosphere where you can do your homework in peace and the helpful people at the reference desk.
The location. everything it has to offer; from lending out laptops to making our IDs to the vast material that can be borrowed. i also like the student artwork and research that is on exhibit.
If you could change one thing in the Library, what would it be?
Add more computer stations and laptops and printing stations.
Computer so slow. change computer.
I would make it so people not doing school work on the computers cannot use them because sometimes I wait a long time for them to stop playing games when I need to do school work.
More books? As well as faster Internet access.
More computers and more print stations.
Add a little coffee shop indoors.
The ceilings on the second floor seems to be breaking or water drippings from AC i think is bad for the library.
I would make it bigger or perhaps expand some of the sections of material.
Get more Hawaiian books that you can look for on your own instead of having to ask the desk to grab the books for you. It is hard to do research projects that way.
It is too cold, and finding a book is confusing because of the setup of the book shelves and the labels are not clear.
More computers and more group meeting rooms.
The only thing I would change is , I would make a few more syudy rooms, they are always full. Also the place is sooooo cold. Is it needed to be soooo cold?
To have it a little warmer in there. Also the workrooms should be used as workrooms not hangouts for students that want to watch movies.
air conditioner... toooooooo cold
Inside the library, there is always too cold, so I want them to make little bit warmer.
It is super freezing, there. please raise up the temparature.
It is too cold in there.
It is too cold to me. I want them to make it to warm.
It is too cold to stay in the library. I want to stay longer in the library.
Its way too cold in there. I know that libraries have to be cold in order to maintain the books, but it really is too cold for people to be comfortable.
Probably the temperature in there. I understand the books and equipment within the library are better with colder temps., but sometimes it's unbearable. This is all really very minor, but if there was any one thing, that would be it.
The library is too cold! please make it warmer.
Too cold there, make it warmer
toooooooo cold! more warmer!
