Welcome to the Continuing Medical Education web site for the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Kapiolani Community College. In our ongoing effort to provide continuing medical education to the prehospital emergency personnel in the State of Hawaii, we are offering CME credits via the Internet.

Eligibility

This web site offers various continuing medical education credit only for State of Hawaii certified Emergency Medical Technicians and Mobile Intensive Care Technicians. If this is your first visit to this site, please proceed to the registration page and submit your application for access to the restricted areas of this site.

How to Obtain CME Credits

You may obtain online CME credits via two methods. The first method is to view a video listed in the "Streaming Video" section and then successfully pass the associated quiz found in the "Online Quizzes" section. These videos vary in length from 60 to 90 minutes.

The second method is to successfully pass one of the many online self assessment quizzes available in the "Online Quizzes" section of this web site. These quizzes consist of approximately 50 questions with a one hour time limit.

You must be a registered participant to obtain access to these sites. Upon successfully passing the quizzes, you will be notified via e-mail and a certificate will be sent to you.
