Health Management (Drink Two Monsters and Don't Call Me)

Kalani Fujiwara will let you know why health can be one of the most important things in life. Managing your health is so very important - without it you can be severely hindered in achieving your college goals. Almost all success begins with good health.

Prolonged diet of fast food and high energy drinks can cause a negative effect on your health.

Take President Obama - he takes time out of his busy schedule to eat a healthy diet and workout.

Physical Health

Do you have a Health Insurance?
Do you have dental Insurance?
Access to a Doctor. (UH Health Clinic - Manoa Campus)

Medical Baseline

What is your medical baseline?
Check with your Doctor every 6 months
Major Physical Exam every 6-7 years
Healthy Diet - not a YMCA Diet
Exercise
Alcohol moderation
Do not Smoke
Safe Sex

Food Food Food Everywhere, not a drop to eat!

Watch what you eat
Maintain a balance weight
Body Fat Rate = 19%
Eat the right proportion
Eat more Vegetables and Fiber as Possible
Avoid Saturated Fat and Trans Fat.
Learn to read the food table (1400 calories and 14 grams per day)
Avoid YMCA Diet or Kanak Attack (Binge Eating)

Exercise

Just do Something!
Exercise for at least 30 minutes or 1 hour 3 times a week.
Fit it in your Lifestyle - MAKE THE TIME
Relieve Stress and assist in your concentration process (Academic help)
Don't be a weekend fitness warrior - bad for your body and creates stress.
