First-Year STAR Academic Planning with Early Registration

Maida Kamber Center (MKC) counselors in this workshop will help new, first-semester students create a 3-semester academic plan in STAR and meet the requirements for early registration. Limited to the first 20 students. Workshop Schedule Location: Iliahi 123AB (Ho‘okele Classrooms) (Limited to first 20 - first year students) Friday, February 15 10:15am - 11:15am Thursday, February 21  12:15pm - 1:15pm Thursday, February 28 12:15pm - 1:15pm Tuesday, March 5 12:15pm - 1:15pm Friday, March 15 12:15pm - 1:15pm Thursday, March 21 3:30pm - 4:30pm Tuesday, April 2 2:00pm - 3:00pm Wednesday, April 3 4:00pm - 5:00pm Friday, April 5 10:15am - 11:15am Monday, April 8  1:45pm - 2:45pm Description of Tabs: Currently, there are several STAR tab areas available to assist you with your academic journey at Kapiolani: ACADEMIC JOURNEY: Demonstrate the graduation requirements & how they list all of the classes that fulfill that particular requirement JOURNEY CONT.: If student is attending a 4-year campus, & is declared in their major, this tab will show all major requirements TRANSCRIPTS/GRADES: Unofficial transcripts for all UH institutions attended/grades. FROM YOUR ADVISOR: General information, Events & Actions, Registration Holds, Financial Aid. ACADEMIC PLAN: See what classes you need, plan out your next semester or your whole 4 years WHAT IF JOURNEY: Students can use this feature to try out different majors & view their requirements ARE YOU STUCK?: Get help for your questions SCHOLARSHIP: Search, apply and track your scholarship application Your councilors will go over the STAR website and point out the more important features.
